Making a stand for a cup from a stationery clip

click fraud protection

Hello Samodelkins and Kulibins, this is Mikhalych again with another homemade product. Today we will make a convenient stand for a cup of coffee. In my workshop I really needed such a stand, because I was already tired of washing the table and laptop from the stains of accidentally spilled coffee.

We need a piece of regular steel wire, 20-25 cm long.

And a regular stationery clip, large size.

Just in case, I will say that the stationery clip should be such that it can grip the edge of the tabletop. Although this is understandable, but you never know)))

On the wire we mark the conditional center, approximately 10-13 cm.

Next, we bend the wire into a ring. For this I took a piece of plastic pipe. Our wire mark is the outer center of the ring.

We make the diameter of the ring about 10-12 centimeters, this is just the average diameter of a paper coffee cup.

Next, we bend the ends of the wire so as to simulate one of the levers of the clerical clamp. We retreat from each edge of the wire about 5 cm and unbend them to the sides as in the photo.

Then we retreat from the edges another centimeter and bend again in different directions. We do it as in the photo. Even if you are wrong, you can always trim with pliers as you need.

Now we remove one of the levers from the clerical clip.

And instead of it we insert our wire as in the photo.

You should get such a thing for a glass in the end.

Then everything is clear. We attach our new stand to the tabletop.

We put a cup of coffee into the stand and rejoice. Even if you accidentally catch it like an elephant in a china shop, then the coffee will be on the floor, and not on the table)))

It turned out to be a very convenient adaptation.

I will finish. If someone makes one for themselves, then be sure to throw off the photo in the comments, I will be grateful.

And I say goodbye, we will meet at the next homemade product. Peace and kindness to everyone !!
