How to connect the plug of an electrical appliance to the bulb holder? Useful homemade product

Hello guests, subscribers and other samodekins. Today I spied on a very cool homemade product, which I am in a hurry to share with you. Today we will make an adapter for connecting the plug of an electrical appliance to a lamp holder.

There are times when such a homemade product is simply vital for me. For example, if you need to turn on a drill or hammer drill at the entrance, and there are no outlets nearby. And in any other place where there are no sockets, but only light bulbs, this adapter is very useful.

As always, I warn you that it is not necessary to do everything exactly as shown in the pictures. This is just the idea itself, but you can realize it including your imagination and based on your needs.

And so, we need a base from an old light bulb, which we completely clear of glass and two wires about 15-20 cm long. We solder one wire to the end contact, which is in the insulator.

We solder the second wire to the inside of the base.

What homemade product can do without a glue gun? We take the gun and pour the glue into the base. We do this quickly and fill the base to the very top.

Next, we take a piece of PVC pipe, about 7-8 cm long. The pipe diameter must be less than the base diameter. We glue the PVC pipe on the same glue while it is still hot.

We also pour a little glue inside the pipe, here it is not necessary to completely fill it.

Next, we take a plastic plug from a low-pressure plastic pipe, such are used for sewage, and with a feather drill in the center we make a hole equal to the diameter of our PVC pipe.

I then thought that it is not at all necessary to use the pipe plug, you can also use a plastic socket.

We insert the pipe into the drilled hole and also fix it with glue.

In our case, a round socket is used, the outer diameter of which corresponds to the diameter of the plastic plug.

We remove the metal base of the socket, we do not need it, we only leave the core itself.

This is the part we need.

Well, then you already understand. We connect the wires to the socket core.

We screw in place the plastic cover into the sockets

We fill the core into a plastic plug along with the wires, and of course we seal it with a glue gun.

This is how you end up adapting. In the photo there is an ordinary carrier, we unscrew the light bulb from it, we screw in our manufactured adapter and the socket is ready.

While writing this post, I thought about it. And why do we need these dances with a tambourine, why a plastic plug, a round rosette, trimming excess and that's it the rest, After all, you can simply take an external outlet and attach it to the PVC tube in the same way. It will be faster and easier to manufacture.
