The simplest puller, every master should have this

Greetings to all guests and subscribers of the channel. Today we bring to your attention a homemade product from a U-shaped channel, which every self-respecting master simply must have. We make a simple but very necessary puller, which does not take up much space, but sometimes you cannot do without it.

By the way, I can predict the future. Soon, under this article, there will be many comments that such a puller can be bought in a store for a penny and why bother))) Well, I take it easy. I am writing not for those who buy fish in the store, but for those who go fishing.

Let's get to work. In the article, as always, dimensions do not matter, the main idea is. We take a piece of an ordinary U-shaped channel, as shown in the photo.

On one shelf we cut out a triangle with a grinder, as shown in the photo.

We grind the edges of the channel at the place of the cut in this way (photo). Why grind the edges, I think that it is already clear.

Drill a hole on the opposite shelf of the channel. The hole should be slightly larger in diameter than the bolt (see below).

When drilling, do not forget to add oil, or regularly wet the drilling site so as not to fire the drill.

We use such a long bolt as a release mechanism and select a nut for it. It is desirable that the nut be high.

We insert the bolt and nut into the drilled hole and now we need to weld the nut to the channel body.

We welded the nut and grind the weld spot. This is certainly not necessary, but for aesthetics it can be done.

This is what we ended up with. If you want, you can also paint it.

Now we sharpen the end of the bolt so that it is possible to stop in the shaft for removing the bearing or sleeve.

We screw the bolt into its place and your puller is ready to work.

We are testing. For example, we take a rotor from an old hammer drill, put it in a puller as in the photo. There is a small hole on the end of the rotor shaft, especially for the stop of the sharp end of the bolt.

Well, everything is clear in the picture. We tighten the bolt, which in turn pulls the bearing off the shaft.
