A man renovated a balcony into a bar from the 90s. Wife is not happy

A married couple bought an apartment in a new building about 15 years ago. The balcony in the kitchen was immediately insulated and the window frame removed. We decided in this way to increase the area of ​​the room and expand the space.

There were no interesting ideas for decorating this zone, so they put a small table and a sofa there, and then put unnecessary things there. After a while, they decided to update the interior of the kitchen, and the husband figured out how to create a cozy place to relax on the balcony.

It is worth noting that the man himself created the design project and performed all the repair work.

The passage from the kitchen to the balcony was closed with a partition in the form of a bar counter. Free space was left under the table top, and the lower part of the table was decorated with lighting, which in the evening fills the room with a cozy and romantic atmosphere.

The floor was covered with turquoise carpet, the walls were covered with dark blue wallpaper with a barely noticeable pattern. Installed a glossy stretch ceiling in white with purple flowers.

A neat beige and turquoise corner sofa was installed along the window and wall. We supplemented the interior of the balcony with a variety of different indoor plants. The windows were covered with purple patterned roller blinds.

In my opinion, only the corner sofa, the bar stool and the carpeting are worthy of respect, everything else is too gloomy and dull. Many shades, patterns, textures, plants - this is generally a separate topic for conversation.

It is immediately clear that an inexperienced man was engaged in the design. It is unpleasant to be in such a room, you want to get out of here as soon as possible, but it is better to run away. One gets the impression that you are in some kind of dark box.

The wife is also not delighted with this design, she goes to the balcony only to water the flowers and put things in order. She cannot rest here, relax with a cup of tea or coffee. The man likes the design, it reminds him of a small bar where you can sit with friends.
