We make the simplest clamp from the channel

click fraud protection

I greet the guests and readers of the Kulibiny channel. Today we will make the simplest and most banal contraption, a clamp from a channel. Every home craftsman simply must have such a tool.

I can already smell the mountains of comments from the "sofa masters" who will begin to tell you what you can buy in the store and nafig need to get your hands dirty. I ask such people to immediately leave where they came from. This is a channel for those who make themselves, not buy in stores.

Well, we get to work. The base of the clamp is such a section of the channel. If anyone needs flat shelf clamps, then choose the slope of the shelf with a grinder.

Now in one of the shelves we drill a hole for the clamping bolt and immediately cut the thread for it. In our case, we use an M12 bolt.

The clamp should have a pressure dime at the end of the bolt. For its manufacture, we cut out the sludge of sheet steel with a thickness of 2-3 mm using a crown. You can use off-the-shelf steel washers if available.

The penny needs to be bent to a taper, as it will be attached to the hold-down bolt with another smaller bolt. We put a penny on the pipe as shown in the photo.

Next, we take a core, insert a nickle into the hole and hit it with a hammer a couple of times.

Here we have such a cone-shaped bend on the hold-down patch.

As a clamping mechanism of the clamp, we use an M12 bolt with a thread along the entire length of the bolt. If you have a larger channel, then the bolt is needed longer, respectively.

At the end of the bolt, on the back of the head, it is necessary to drill a hole and cut a thread for the M5 bolt. Here we will attach the pressure penny when assembling the clamp.

A 6 mm thick metal bar was used as a rotary handle, and a hole was drilled for it under the bolt head. The edges of the twig on both sides must be riveted so that it does not fall out constantly.

That's it, let's start assembling. We tighten the M12 clamping bolt into the hole on the channel shelf. Then we put on a pressure penny, securing it with an M5 bolt.

You will end up with such a gorgeous clamp.

Well, now, according to our tradition, we leave comments with suggestions, criticism and other emotional speeches)) If the thing is good, we put the article in bookmarks so as not to lose it.

Thank you all for this and see you in new homemade products.
