Homemade product to simplify work with angle grinders

Hello everyone, homemade comrades. Today we will make a universal device for angle grinders, which will allow using the tool more comfortably. For work, we need a 3 mm thick metal strip and a metal corner.

By tradition, I do not give exact sizes, because they do not play a special role here and you can use everything that you have in stock.

We put the angle grinder on the table with the button down, apply the plate as shown in the photo and make a mark approximately along the height of the grinder.

Cut off the marked area and make a second plate of the same. Then we drill holes in both plates from one edge. The diameter of the hole should be slightly larger than the holes on the gearbox housing, into which the handle is screwed. Through these holes we will bolt the plates to the gearbox housing.

These are the blanks you should end up with.

We select two bolts for these holes. As mentioned above, the bolts must match the thread in the angle grinder body.

Now we need a piece of metal corner, I would take a 10x10 thick-walled corner. The length of the angle should be 10-12 mm wider than the angle grinder body. Next, we install the corner in a vice, as shown in the photo, and weld two ears with holes.

Plates can be welded both on the corner shelf itself and on its end part. It's as convenient for you.

Here we have such a blank. For an aesthetic look, it can be painted with black paint.

Now we install our device on the angle grinder and bolt through the holes on the gearbox housing.

When the bolts are not tightened, our structure has the ability to move relative to the mounting axis.

Now our device allows you to fix the angle grinder in the desired position. We clamp the corner in a vice, set the angle grinder with a grinding wheel and tighten the bolts. We can grind any metal objects.

If you turn over the corner and set the grinder vertically, we get a grinder.

Also, the device allows you to install the angle grinder at the desired angle.

Here we have such a simple and very useful homemade product. I often have situations when I need to fix the angle grinder and before I just clamped it in a vice. now everything will be much easier.
