Fence style and construction is always a tricky choice for site owners. If for summer cottages with a small area of ​​up to 6 acres, everything is simple: there are beds, vegetable gardens, and in such an area, a not solid fence is desirable (picket fence, netting, etc.). That would not block the sunlight. In other cases, there is the agony of choosing between the criteria of price, beautiful appearance, durability and ease of installation.

One of the most durable, simple and inexpensive options is a professional sheet fence. At one time, I also chose this design. I did it with a concrete tape (for reliability) with my own hands. I did not consider the fence from the board because of almost the same cost and the need to cover (update) the tree every five years with azure.

I propose to discuss a cheaper, but no less interesting type of fence - a fence made of round timber (firewood) cuts.

In order to securely fix the cuts, cut or burned should be fixed with a solution. But this option requires a foundation (concrete tape). Otherwise, the masonry will crack. Anyway, the view is interesting, but we will deal with the price a little below.

A saw cut fence can be made of wood blocks of different diameters. The design needs to be thought out in advance. Or do it according to a ready-made example. Fencing elements will look good as a decoration for resting places on the site. For this, a frame is made from a board 150x50mm and a woodpile is folded inside. It will look especially unusual for those regions where firewood is rare.

The technology is simple: pillars are installed and saw cuts are folded between them like a woodpile. No foundation tape is needed. Enough waterproofing - roofing felt on the ground. Ideally, the posts should be concreted in the ground. To do this, you need to waterproof the tree with bitumen mastic and wrap it in polyethylene. If the pillars are made of larch, it will be even more durable.

Someone makes such decorations and fences even from chopped wood. Cheap and beautiful. Warm, non-repulsive look. But everyone has different tastes. There is a risk that such a fence in the village could be dismantled for firewood. And he can squint over time. Therefore, the option is only as a fence between adjacent sites.

Now about the price:

In the village you can buy firewood in logs and for 1 thousand. rub / m3. KamAZ has 18-20 m3 of firewood. They are loaded with firewood with a slide, although the body itself is up to 15m3. A fence with a thickness of 0.25 m and a height of 2 m is obtained at a cost of 600 rubles. r.m. Plus pillars and glazes to protect the tree. Conclusion: a fence made of saw cuts is cheaper than a fence made of a profiled sheet between neighbors with an attractive appearance (competent design). It turns out to be two-sided. From the profiled sheet - a beautiful, facial view of only one.

The durability of such a fence is tens of years. Changing the cuts in the fence after something rots, turns black is not difficult (if they are not in solution) and it is not expensive. Put old chocks for firewood.

But so that the wood does not get wet during the rain, you will need to make a visor from painted tin or profiled sheet. This will also extend the life of the fence.
