The house burned down in 1912, we mount the frame for drywall
He helped to make a frame of their profile for drywall in a half-burnt recently two-story house, built back in 1912. The thickness of the walls in it is almost a meter!!! Unusually, the drywall frame had to be made between the floor beams in order not to reduce the height of the rooms. Let me remind you that the frame under the gypsum board on the ceiling is essentially the same as on the walls.
Plane line labels applied along the perimeterhydro level (transparent hose with water) below the level of the beams, and then from this line the marks were transferred higher, taking into account the position of the lowest point of the ceiling. Itself the line was hit with a chokline (colored cord). We were asked to make only frames from a metal profile between adjacent beams, and the beams themselves later will be sheathed with bent drywall.
Along the perimeter, in increments of 40-50 cm, they were first fastened narrow guide profile UD 30x30 mm, then the same was done on both sides of both beams. The walls in the house are loose clay, so the hammered nails were taken 80 mm.
Then we switched to fixing perforated hangers to the ceiling with a pitch of 50 cm, based on the width of the room. The hangers were also attached according to the marking, applying it based on the size GKL sheets 120 x 250 m and the distance between the beams.
They put under the suspensions support profiles CD 60 mm wide and, before starting to screw them to the suspensions, they waited for the rule so that they steel in one plane with guide UD-profiles.
With the rule, only medium suspensions were screwed on, and at the rest of the level it was almost impossible to control. Where the whole sheet of gypsum board will lie, the distance between the bearing profiles is 40 cm, and where there will be cut sheets - 50-55 cm.
On each suspension used 4 screws "bug" or "flea. The protruding ends were bent, and if the suspension turned out to be short, it was increased by one more.
In places where the bearing profile enters the guide, they were also screwed in on a self-tapping screw. While the ceiling, of course, looks mysterious because of the protruding beams, but after finishing them, I think everything will be very, very. As soon as it becomes possible to look at it in finished form, I will definitely take pictures and show you.
The only thing that will have to be done while fixing drywall is insert crossbars in the places where the sheets are joined. Lintels are made of CD support profile, are inserted and screwed over the already mounted GKL sheet, going over it in half, and the abutting piece is attached to the second half.
