Installed the application from Yandex. Now I see calls from phone scammers and spammers
Recently, calls have become frequent not only with offers from banks, but also from outright telephone scammers trying to get hold of your credit card data. I answer unknown numbers for one reason - they can call at work. Those callers who are harmless and offer the services of banks, massage parlors are also pretty tired. You spend your time on imposing services that are not interesting for you.
One of my acquaintances recommended installing an application that finds information about unknown to you number in its database and displays the reputation of this number or the name of the organization to which it belongs. Let's see how to do this on an Android smartphone. The program is free. Who has an iPhone - the link under the screenshots.
From the Google Play market, you need to install the Yandex with Alice application. We go into the program and in the lower right corner, click on the "All applications" icon. In the upper left corner of the window that opens, we see the "Caller ID" application. Click it and then click "Enable" - go to Settings. In the "Assistant" menu, you need to select, make Yandex the default service.
Then a request will appear for permissions for Yandex: to make calls, access to the call list and to the contact list - we confirm everything. And you also need to allow information to be displayed on top of all windows during a call (move the slider).
On the territory of Ukraine, when you first start the program, you must agree to connect via VPN. And it will work too.
After a call from an unknown subscriber, the program will ask you to indicate the caller's reputation: it was unwanted a call (if such information is already available in the Yandex database from other users) or to correct the reputation call.
This program has analogues, for example: Kaspersky Who Calls. But there are paid bases.
In general, I now see all calls with a negative reputation and I just don't pick up the phone, I block the number - I immediately put it on the black list. I'm not wasting my time. But there is one but. Criminals or telephone spammers, if they do not get through to you, do it a little later again. And often from other numbers. Almost always, these numbers already have a history from others who use this application. You repeat the operation. In general, this program allows you to save your time, nerves and, perhaps, someone will save his money on a bank card.
