New ways of reinforcing aerated concrete and armored belt. Questions to readers
In the fall, I visited my friends in a house that he built of aerated concrete. So to speak, I stopped by to take over some experience. One of the interesting points that the owner of the house and at the same time the self-builder told me about is the option of knitting the armopoyas frame.
A reinforcement frame is a standard solution for reinforcing an armored belt. The diameter of the reinforcement can be different. But in most cases, working reinforcement is 10-12 mm and structural (frame) - 6 mm.
But he did mesh reinforcement:
I took a reinforcing mesh with a cell of 100x100 mm and rolled it into the desired frame profile of 200x200 mm (his house is made of aerated concrete with walls 300 mm thick).
What benefits did he get from this? Delivery to the object of the mesh will be cheaper than rebar 6 m long (or free if you transport it in the salon of your car). Bending the mesh into a frame is faster than tying a frame from reinforcement. Installing in U-blocks on walls is easier than lifting the frame from long rebar. And the most important thing - according to its purpose, the mesh frame replaces the frame of three 10 mm bars. A reinforcement rod, even a smaller diameter, is located in concrete more often - every 10 cm. Such a frame is supposedly enough to withstand tensile deformations in concrete.
Interfloor floors between the first and second floors have floor slabs. There are no cracks in the armopoyas.
The average price of a reinforcing mesh for such a frame is: RUB 80 / r.m. armopoyasa (You fold the 1 m side into a frame 250x250 mm or smaller). A very good price for such reinforcement. You can bend it with boards. I put a net between two boards, twisted them with screws and bent the side.
A question for readers and specialists: is such a solution of reinforcement made of welded mesh in an armored belt acceptable? Write in the comments
A life hack for those who will reinforce the armopoyas with reinforcement according to the classic scheme:
If you find such a mesh with notches, then you can speed up the process of knitting the frame.
The next moment, which the owner of the house told me about, is the reinforcement of aerated concrete masonry with fiberglass reinforcement:
An example from the Internet. Use joint venture fittings with a diameter 10 mm. In the second photo, the diameter is smaller, so they could bend it that way. The easiest way to chisel is with a handheld electric router.
The price for a SPA 10 mm is 18-24 rubles / m. Those. in two rods 1 rm. walls are reinforced at a price 36-48 rubles. Metal fittings are much more expensive: from RUB 98 / r.m in two rods. Plus, you can bring the spa in your car. And on the beams of the openings, you can collect scraps of steel reinforcement 12-14 mm long 1.5-2 m on the basis of a second metal at a price RUB 25 / kg Remove rust with a grinder with a metal wire nozzle and tie the frame. SPA beams cannot be used.
There are a lot of rollers where self-builders use SPA in the reinforcement of every fourth layer of aerated concrete. Here is one of them:
At the end of the video, there is a life hack how you can quickly fill the grooves with glue using a bag. The principle is like decorating cakes.
Well, in conclusion, another way of reinforcing aerated concrete masonry is reinforcement using punched tape:
Logically, the holes in the punched tape play the same function as the grooved surface of the reinforcement. And such a tape will be sufficient to prevent the formation of shrinkage cracks. The price of such reinforcement is even cheaper: 10 rubles / m of tape or 20 rubles / r.m. reinforcement of masonry.
Even professionals in the field of aerated concrete masonry began to use this solution:
