Trying to decorate or simply squeeze furniture into their small bedroom, the owners of "small-sized" ones dream of a huge room in which, as they believe, they can "roam"! Not knowing that at the same time the owners large bedded cannot understand: what needs to be done to create a truly cozy, comfortable and warm atmosphere on the square meters they have. Because the "expanse" in the apartment is not always a good thing!

So that you understand, for example, a "lonely" double bed in a room with an area of more than 15-20 m2 tends to "get lost" in space, that is, become invisible. And this is already a problem that arises in the event of a discrepancy between the quadrature and the decor of the room as a whole. Therefore, in order not to "go crazy" and create a really "okay" and comfortable interior in the bedroom, I prepared 4 design tips.

Of course, the first step is to visually adjust the proportions of the room, and then step by step fill it with elements that will make a spacious room a more comfortable and cozy living space.

1.The plus and minus of a large room. So, what is the main advantage of such a room? Of course, its area, which you simply must use wisely! That is, try to organize a work area, a women's corner, a dressing room and, possibly, even a miniature gym within its boundaries. As a result: you zone the space, and add additional functionality to the room!

But here lies trick - this is the daily routine and lifestyle of each family member! For example, if for one person the combination of work and home is the norm, for another it is not. This means that the placement of the working area within the bedroom will be impractical. But there are a lot of such examples. Therefore, before you start equipping such a room, you will need to conduct a thorough analysis of all the needs of each family member and be sure to take them into account when arranging this space. After all, the bedroom should bring a sense of calm and tranquility, and not be a place of your discord!

2.Furnishings. Keep in mind that a walk-in closet or headboard along the entire wall of a large room looks very interesting and effective, unlike a tiny bedroom, where furniture of this size will literally "choke" the available space. Well, the bed itself! Allow yourself a king-sized bed, because the area allows! So, let her work for you!

And yet, if you want to create a really comfortable atmosphere in your bedroom, then you will have to visually determine the reference height for furniture (chest of drawers, dressing table and possibly headboard). And as a rule, this horizon should be at a height of 1 m to 1.2 m.

3.Finishes and shades. These “nuances” are as structural and important in the interior as the main element of the bedroom - the bed. So feel free to use a wallpaper or accent wall when decorating a large room to visually change the proportions of the bedroom and bypass the prospect of a lifeless setting in it. And deep, "warm" shades will help you with this in the best way. By the way, it is acceptable to use even intense bright colors, but only in the form of small decorative touches and accents.

Do not forget about textiles that can be present in your room not only in the form of curtains, carpet or bed linen, but also on the headboard. For example, a velvet headboard will make your bedroom more intimate!

4.Lighting. Significant "element", as a large bedroom simply has to be lit by several light sources, not just one! For example, the main light for everyday activities, bedside light for reading and "intimate" for a pleasant pastime.

Therefore, to emphasize the volume of the bedroom, to enhance the cozy and "warm" atmosphere in it, use chandeliers, sconces, LED strips, spotlights, floor lamps... And preferably the more the better!
