Not too long ago in one of my advertising articles I met comments from the category: "Author, do not write nonsense, where are the prices for building materials from", "Where have you seen that first wallpaper, and then chased the walls "or" Have you ever held the tools in your hands "... So, my dear friends, the time has probably come become acquainted. My name is Denis, and besides the fact that I realize myself in the field of design and decor, also in parallel - in construction. In this case, not anyhow, but with their hands. And I go to the construction site at least 3 times a week, and I hold the tool in my hands even more often, since I personally do the preliminary repairs in my new home.

Why I myself, how long, what materials I use and how much I have already saved, I will definitely tell in other articles on the channel. But today I would like to dwell in more detail on the power tools that have been helping me for more than a year to make repairs.

By the way, to be honest, I don’t understand at all how you can live in an apartment, and even more so in a private house, without a minimum set of tools. Of course, someone will say: you need them, you are doing repairs! But wait! What to do if you need to assemble furniture, drill a hole, hang a shelf, curtain or chandelier, repair the plinth... What, call your “husband for an hour”? This is ridiculous! And it often costs money! Not to mention the fact that there must be a man in the house who “can drive a nail into the wall”.

In general, I will not walk along the bush, but I will show you my "toys".

1.Screwdriver. To be honest, when I bought it in the states, I could not even think about what kind of "apparatus" it was. Powerful, 18V (at least screw on the wheels), comfortable (lies in the hand like a cast), "hardy" (5 years of service and no, no) and able-bodied. The nozzle changes one or two! He never let me down during construction. And how many have already been done and even more! Unfortunately, there is one unpleasant moment. And that's the battery. Namely - its "time qualification" and price.

Since my "device" is an old model, I had to spend a lot of time and effort to find a suitable battery for it, and the price was decent, something about 6200 rubles. (ordered 2 at once). Nevertheless, I have never regretted that I bought new batteries for it, and did not buy another screwdriver, as some recommended to me.

2.Rotary hammer or drill screwdriver. I have both, albeit from a different company. Why is it both?! Everything is simple here: for everyday life, an impact drill-screwdriver is enough (as practice has shown), but for a little bit of repair, you cannot do without a semi-professional puncher! Since hollowing out an opening, drilling a hole in a floor slab or wall, stirring a mortar... using a hammer drill is another thing!

In general, I bought a “perf” for a share in a well-known hypermarket of building materials for 5000 rubles (I don’t remember exactly). Moderately powerful, light enough, works in several modes: drilling, chiselling, drilling + chiseling and there is a reverse. To be honest, he doesn't know the rest!

So that you understand, over these several years of repair, I have drilled, probably, already 10,000 holes for the subsequent installation of walls and ceilings made of plasterboard, laying of sewage and water supply pipes, fastening fasteners for electric, TV and Internet cables, etc. In short, this apparatus went through water, and fire, and copper pipes! As for me, he is one of my best acquisitions in terms of the instrument.

3.Reciprocating or circular saw. I forgot to say, in the states I purchased a whole set of power tools - a 15 kg bag, which included into itself a screwdriver, a drill-screwdriver, a reciprocating and circular saw, a grinder, a flashlight and several batteries. At what price, though I don't remember, but now I understand that I did it for a reason! Since the price tag for a good tool is sky-high.

So, returning to our tools, I will say one thing - do not buy a circular saw with an accumulator. That's bullshit!

And in everyday life it is not really needed, a saber saw is quite enough. Everything that you need to do around the house, she will do one or two. And it will help to cut down a tree, cut a wooden beam, and make handmade furniture.

Of course, making a perfect cut or a 90 ° angle with a reciprocating saw will be quite difficult, but "rough" work is quite.

Of course, this is not the whole list of tools that a real owner should have at home, but it will be enough to solve a lot of everyday problems!
