Why do I do the pre-finishing repairs in my house myself. If I could hire craftsmen like everyone else and continue to enjoy life

Subscribers and visitors to my channel already know that I realize myself not only in the field of design and decor, but also in construction. And to be more specific and without embellishment, then in the pre-finishing of my house with an area of ​​145 sq.m., which I started several years ago and I plan to finish this year!

Good afternoon dear friends!

And you know what? During this not very short period, I have never regretted my decision! Why? Yes, because the developer came across to me KNOWN! Unfortunately, we have a dime a dozen of them in the Krasnodar Territory! After all, besides pure structural and engineering jambs, admitted by "specialists" during the construction of a townhouse, others flared up! Central communications, land, management company, etc. And during the pre-final repair, US (my wife and I) had to master the nuances and subtleties of Russian legislation and run around the courts. But more about that another time, and today about the more familiar - about the repair!

So, what prompted me to do the pre-final repair with my own hands ?!

1.The financial side of the issue. I will not dissemble! Do-it-yourself repairs are much cheaper than hiring specialists. So that you understand, during this period I have already saved almost $ 1.5 million. rubles. And this is only at work on interior design and the most preliminary finishing! BUT you need to adequately understand that there are types of work that should not be undertaken under any circumstances! In my case, this is the finish!

Since these works (filling, painting, pasting, laying tiles, installing interior doors, etc.) require experience and skills that are difficult to obtain in a short period of time. In addition, the "finish" is easy to control, since there are no, well, practically no, hidden works. Therefore, it is not always advisable to do it yourself, if there is a desire to "get a candy", and not a semblance of European-quality repair!

2.Technical and constructive "nuances". I will say so! During my career in the construction industry I have seen a lot! For example, after signing the acceptance certificate for the townhouse, I decided to check the sewage system in it (from the house to the septic tank). I don't even remember why or why. But not the point, the main thing that I found there: a cobblestone a little less than the diameter of a sewer pipe! Fortunately, the developer turned out to be legally stupid and, oddly enough, shy, and eliminated this jamb on his own.

Further more! Narrowed water supply; lack of ventilation; improperly assembled sewerage (fittings upside down); heaped walls, both horizontally and vertically; electrician; screed, ladder, etc. And I counted so many such defects during the repair that there would not be enough fingers on my hands! Therefore, I decided not to experiment, but to deal with the issue on my own.

3.Professional degradation. Namely - its absence! Drawing "beautiful pictures" and "lalyakat" with the client about the color palette in the interior is, of course, cool! But as for me, a person who realizes himself in construction, in the field of design and decor, should be able to work with pens! After all, this experience, as they say, "you will not drink"! Moreover, multitasking and self-realization are characteristic of a Russian person.

In addition, on my way there are "PROFESSIONALS" who love to fill their worth and pour water into their ears! And if you know not only theoretically, but also practically, how and what is done, then it will be problematic to “cheat”.

But do not be mistaken and think that repair on your own consists only of pluses, NO, there is a lot of cons! This is time, and physical activity, and so on ...
