Spicy herbs that can be grown without soil
In winter, we all want fresh greens, but not everyone can afford it. I have to fiddle with pots and soil, and I don't have time for that at all. So I came up with an alternative solution for myself - grow everything in a glass of water. I did some experiments for myself to find out what kind of herbs can be grown without soil.
Rosemary
To grow rosemary on your windowsill without soil, it is enough to put a sprig of rosemary in water and wait for the roots to appear.
But after the roots germinate, you still have to transplant the plant into the ground. It takes quite a long time, so grow several rosemary stems at once.
Basil
A spicy herb used in Italian cuisine. A plant with a specific aroma and slightly sour taste. Dried is added to the spice mixture.
In order for basil to please you every day without any problems, just take a basil stem and dip it into water.
Oregano
Oregano is a light-loving perennial that can live on a windowsill in a glass without any problems. Just make sure that it grows on the sunny side.
Mint
Mint is most often used to make teas, cocktails (Mojito), salads (Tabouleh), etc. There is nothing difficult to grow mint in a glass of water, just dip the root (or sprig) of mint in the water.
Stevia
One of the herbs that is a natural sugar substitute. It is used by both people who monitor their weight and people with problems in the production of insulin. It can be grown both from the leaf and the stem.
Sage
Among healers, sage is the best herb for fumigating rooms against evil forces and corruption. This wonderful herb can grow in an ordinary glass of water.
