Repair of a gun for polyurethane foam. Loss of tightness
Bought myself a new gun, right away dismantled his check valve, I decided to take care of the "old man" who has been serving for more than 10 years. I disassembled it and cleaned it, assembled it, but bad luck, it began to miss, the tightness of the nozzle and the needle locking it disappeared.
Solution to the problem
I remembered that not only I had such a problem, but also met the reader in the commentary, I decided to repeat his experience. To eliminate the hitch, it was necessary to disassemble the tool.
After cleaning, the gun was easy to figure out, for repairs you need to use a drill or screwdriver, since it is required to grind two parts to restore the tightness.
A tube with a tip and a shut-off needle itself are involved in lapping. I clamped the needle in a screwdriver, started it until it was fully seated in the pipe, and began lapping by rotating it with light pressure. I spent 5-10 minutes on the whole process, from time to time collecting the pistol and checking the result.
It stopped when the sealing was achieved, and the air from the spout stopped "poisoning", however, I have not tested it with foam yet, the installation of windows is coming soon, and there I will try.
I'll tell you right away I can't vouch for the method, I think it will help in 50% of cases, but since such a result can be achieved with sufficient wear of the pistol, there is already nothing to lose, and it can be tried, which I did.
