A quick way to securely fix the socket. Now won't fall out
I often met the problem of the outlets falling out of the socket boxes, the trouble is in their weakened fastening, often the socket boxes themselves do not stay in place. Now a variety of plastic landing devices, in which switches and sockets are held securely, the main thing is to fix them well themselves.
Foam fasteners
A friend shared his method of fastening, it is usually customary to use alabaster (gypsum) mortar, and he "sits" on the foam.
I tried this method, it gives a good result and there is no need to bother with the solution, but the foam does not hold in all walls. And then, when you go out for repairs, you may not have a gun with foam with you, an idea came to my mind with the help of which, the problem of high-quality fasteners disappeared.
Simple and reliable
I began to fasten the boxes and socket boxes to the self-tapping screws, having previously drilled a hole for the dowel.
Moreover, for the socket, where the switch is located, one self-tapping screw is enough, and where the socket is installed, it is enough to fix it with two. Sometimes you come, and the socket dangles with the box, drilled, secured and order.
I use both ordinary black self-tapping screws and press washers, as appropriate. A drill, unlike foam, is always with me. The only trouble is caused by walls made of concrete slabs, there is nothing to do without a hammer drill.
This is the way, I wonder who else is using it?
