How I managed to grow a rich harvest of large bell peppers last year.

Pepper contains so many vitamins that, perhaps, you will not find in any vegetable. But getting good peppers in your garden is not easy. For example, I could not achieve this for a long time. Of course, the fruits ripened, but clearly they could not compete with those that are sold on the market. And I wanted them to be large, juicy, with excellent taste.
I had to set up numerous experiments, correct mistakes that were made during their implementation. But the work was not in vain, and still managed to get a crop of excellent peppers. I also want to share this personal experience.
First, I made the required number of seedling cups, and for this I used a regular laminate underlay. He poured fertile soil into each glass and placed one seed in each glass in it. After planting, exactly a week passed, when I saw that a small sprout appeared in each glass.
As soon as the sprouts became somewhat larger, I transplanted them into the same cups, but with a larger size. All this took place at the end of the first spring month. This is quite enough for the plant to solidify thoroughly before planting in the ground. Some of the bushes already had their first buds.

I know from my own experience that you should not plant peppers too early. In early spring, the weather is rather unstable, and the nights are still cold and can bring various troubles to the peppers. This plant loves heat and does not tolerate cold well. Therefore, I recommend even planting peppers in a greenhouse only in the second half of May. It's not too late. If the seedlings are strong enough, then they will have time to grow.
A prerequisite for planting is a sufficient distance between plants. Peppers do not like tightness and do not tolerate it well. Planting correctly with enough space between the bushes will give the pepper plenty of sun and air.
What needs to be done in order to get a good harvest of peppers?
The bushes should be planted so that they do not cast a shadow on each other. "Heavy" soils are not suitable for growing peppers. Every fall I apply organic fertilizers to the garden, not forgetting to add compost. Peppers love moist soil, so regular watering is required. If there is not enough moisture, the plant will slow down its growth and development. In addition, large fruits are unlikely to be obtained.
To retain moisture in the soil, mulching should be carried out. For example, I cover the soil around the plant with mown grass. When the plant begins to branch, I remove all unnecessary shoots. This will certainly lead to higher yields. Of course, it's a pity to cut off, but the necessary agrotechnical measures require it. Thus I get a kind of "clean shaven" bush. Let it now look not so presentable, but instead pleases with its large fruits that are on it.
