How to clean old fat from handles on a gas stove in 5 minutes.
The dream of any housewife is perfect cleanliness in the kitchen. But, unfortunately, not everyone is able to cope with maintaining cleanliness, because daily cooking leads to contamination and yellowing of not only the stove itself, but its handles.
If, in the case of a stove, using any special tool to cope with the work is as easy as shelling pears, then trying to get rid of the fat on the handles, women face real problems.
The snag lies in the small crevices and bends where the grease gets clogged, and it is not so easy to wash it out. Do not despair if you find yourself in a similar situation, there is a way out of it. The first thing to do is make sure the knobs on the stove are removable.
Pull them towards you until they come off. If all efforts were in vain, the handles did not come off - you will have to carry out cleaning work directly on the stove.
Fight fat on removable handles
The simplest and easiest way to deal with fatty deposits is boiling water, in which you need to place pens for a few minutes. After such a simple procedure, there will be no trace of contamination.
There is another boron method and for it you need to take:
200 ml. water;
2 hours tablespoons of vinegar.
Mix the ingredients, place the pens in the liquid for five minutes. After the specified time has elapsed, remove them and wipe with a sponge.
For the next method, designed to fight fat, you need to mix citric acid and soda, then rub the handles well with a sponge. Rinse with water and enjoy their whiteness.
What to do if the handles cannot be removed
In this case, it will not be possible to clean the plaque with a sponge, but you can use cotton swabs, gauze swabs or a toothbrush that will do the job best.
The fact is that a toothbrush has many small villi, which easily penetrate into hard-to-reach places, where fat usually clogs.
For the first method, you will need a detergent that is applied to a brush or other item chosen for cleaning. Using a brush, thoroughly clean the contaminated areas, which will not only get rid of dirt, but also yellowness.
Also, it is allowed to use various chemicals for cleaning. But do not forget that powdery ones in this case should not be used, since they will leave invisible cracks on the surface, where fat will be clogged in the future.
In supermarkets, you can find special wipes designed for cleaning such contaminants. If you decide to use them, then wrap a small piece of napkin on a toothpick, then wipe the greasy areas.
Vinegar, diluted in equal proportions with water, is an excellent cleaning agent for the most stubborn stains. Lemon juice or acid is the enemy of fat.
Add a spoonful of acid to a glass of water. Wet the stained area, let it sit for five minutes to let the liquid eat away at the plaque. Use water to remove the grease, along with which the yellow coating will go away.
