Laminate on the wall with glue: ways of arranging the slats
Finishing the laminate can be accomplished in several ways. We used to use a laminate floor. But today it is often used for walls, laying horizontally, vertically or herringbone (angled).
Which laminate is better for the walls?
For walls may be used an inexpensive material, with a small thickness and low wear resistance.
If you plan to lay a laminate on a small part of the wall or on a wall, it is better to use the adhesive mount option. So you will save room space, and simplifies installation. Lock system for mounting on the wall does not matter, but Clicks option is more suitable for the walls.
Stacking is carried out from the left corner, the bottom upwards.
What glue material?
Experts advise liquid glue on the nails (e.g., building adhesives Titebond yellow) or Toms, Cleo laminate. Some use a silicone sealant.
The most important thing - you need to align the walls before work. This requires a long rake profile. All cavities, irregularities noted in pencil, then to seal the home putty. Then comes the primer surface.
The process of stacking the laminate on the wall
Apply glue on the laminate and attach to the wall, pressing and holding in this case. Between a laminate connects locks. Locks can be further lubricated with silicone. In the floor and the ceiling must be done in the gaps 4 - 10 mm. enclose the bottom trim panels with stowage.
Stacked slats staggered, horizontally, diagonally, herringbone, and so vertically. D.
After 2 - 3 series is important to stop for the duration of the work to the glue grabbed. If this is not done, then the upper ranks may put pressure on the bottom, which will lead to a shift.
At the end of stacking corners can close the trim strip.
Laminate flooring can be combined in color. Even the cheapest slats can transform a room. Vertically stacked laminate will increase the height of the room visually. The horizontal version will expand the room.
