In my family, mostly fresh tomatoes are eaten, and we try not to eat pickled ones, since they do not have a very good effect on human health.

Therefore, I prefer varieties of tomatoes that ripen gradually, and not when I no longer plant low-growing tomatoes that give off the yield in large quantities at the same time.

Thus, every day we have fresh fruits for salads, and if something remains, I roll up a jar of pickled tomatoes.

Little time and effort is spent. As a result, I roll up to 10 cans of tomatoes per season and this is enough for us for a year.

If you are a supporter of pickles and homemade ketchups, then it is better to choose varieties that ripen at about the same time: in a day or two it is really possible to roll up canned food, which will be enough before next harvest.

My neighbor grows low-growing varieties that ripen at the same time. She collects the entire crop and makes preparations for the winter.

Then he removes the empty bushes, and grows some more greenery on the vacated bed.

I also advise you to grow tomatoes in a greenhouse, because these plants are susceptible to infection with late blight, which is easily transferred from one plant to another.

And if it started in the neighbor's garden and they do not fight with it, then it will go downwind to you. So you can instantly lose the entire crop.

If you name specific varieties, then most of all I like such as: Volovye Heart, Sanka and White filling.

For salads, I plant a Raspberry Bison, the fruits of which are very large and fleshy.
