How we built a pool with a pavilion. Figure one, preparatory
Why does the pool need a pavilion, choice of design, foundation pit
Spring is approaching, and then summer is at hand, it's time to think about suburban leisure. For those who cannot imagine their site without a swimming pool, FORUMHOUSE has prepared another story in the first-person publication cycle. In the family Jazzmeen inflatable the pool appeared before the house and while the construction was in progress, "roamed" around the yard. Finally, hands reached him.

My story about building a swimming pool with a pavilion
How it all started
We got a pool in the third summer of the site development. It was a round pool with an inflatable ring (in the first photo), with a diameter of 4.57 m and a height of 1.22 m. The pool is very good, both in size and in operation. The only difficulty was to spread it out in the spring and collect it in the fall. Once we collected it already with a slight minus, creases formed on it, we thought that everything, there will be holes. But no, next year, as if nothing had happened.
We dragged him around the site every year to a different place, for several years there was construction on the site, but the pool missed only one season of all. But the inconvenience associated with the annual assembly and disassembly of the pool, as well as the desire to increase its volume, eventually prevailed, and we began to consider options.
Pool selection
We considered the pouring of a concrete bowl, and a frame winter-hardy pool, polypropylene, composite... All this with calculations, the study of information. We considered the shape and size of the pool taking into account the fact that a pavilion was also placed above it, for a reasonable price and reasonable size. And also, they wanted to dig the pool, if not entirely, then two-thirds exactly. Otherwise, it will be too high, and the height of the pavilion will also be too high.
As a result, after a long (more than a year) choice, we settled on this option (steel oval pool Hydrium Oval Pool Set 500x360x120 cm, 16296 l):
We bought the pool in the summer of 2018 and immediately began the installation process.
Preparation of the pit
We chose a place. It was not for nothing that we dragged our old pool: we chose the most successful of the previous locations. We marked out and hired Tajiks to dig the pit.
The bottom of the pit was leveled with sand.
They laid on the bottom a slab of extruded polystyrene foam, 50 mm thick.

What do you think, a normal choice or was it worth it to get confused with concrete?
