What do I do to make the screw cap of a glass jar open easily with my hands?
Another purely female life hack from me, but for men too.
Yesterday a question arose at work - how to open a screw cap from a glass jar. Our peasants could not unscrew, they were simply surprised. When I entered the room for tea and dinner, everyone was already desperate to unscrew the unfortunate can. So I decided to tell you how I can easily cope even with such difficult cases.
At first I thought that our boys were joking, saying that they could not open. I tried it - it was really twisted almost tightly. There are such banks, I think that all of you, too, have come across at least once.
I have tricks for capricious caps like this. If the first method does not help, try the second. But the second option is not always at hand, so it's simple at first.
By the way, if the lid is screwed on when the contents were still hot, then such lids are really difficult to open even with special devices.
In order to avoid the appearance of fragments in the place of the thread, I advise you to heat it. You can put a towel or any cloth soaked in boiling water.
My sister first puts a towel on the lid, and then boiling water pours out of the kettle in a thin stream. The temperature expands the metal of the cover and weakens in the thread.
I will warn you right away that our men tried to knock the lid on the table, as a result, shards of glass appeared when I opened it. Don't do that. Glass breaks easily, and the metal will not disperse by tapping.
It is better to try to move the edges with a knife so that the air gets inside. And then there is less risk of fragments.
I (after heating or without it - it depends on the "severity" of the situation) I take a paper towel, dip it in water or sprinkle it with some water from the tap for moistening and, putting it on the lid, I easily turn it off.
And also... I have devices for such cases at home, which I ordered from Ali Express. And it is understood that at work this is not.BUT but there are ordinary stationery gum. I put it on the lid and already the hand does not slip. Both me and our men can easily unscrew even the most capricious jar that does not want to part with its contents.
How do you get out of such situations? Are there secrets? Thanks in advance to those who share.

Unusually long storage method (no freezing or salting). The greens seem to have just come from the garden.
I never throw away Chinese sushi rolls. I tell you why
