If the microwave is not enameled, then you can literally put a cup in it for a couple of minutes or any a container with water with the addition of a spoonful of citric acid or, in the absence of acid, just a couple of pieces lemon. Well, or squeeze the juice of half a small lemon. Turn on the oven for 2-3 minutes, and then just wipe the softened layer of fatty deposits with a damp cloth, which is easily washed off thanks to citric acid. And most importantly, there are no smells. BUT! Acid is a very corrosive substance, not suitable for all coatings.

If the microwave is enameled, then you can drip any liquid soap or detergent into the water and put it on the same amount. I usually use unscented liquid soap, so that later with baking soda I do not repeat the procedure to get rid of the soap smell. The same is done as described in the previous method. And mind you! This method is suitable for any type of microwave oven. So that food from the microwave does not smell of extraneous odors, do not be lazy to take care of the oven every day.
