Caroling children look into the apartments again. A dangerous tradition? And earlier they dragged the rugs

New Year's holidays on the calendar have already passed. But it was the turn of the Christmas season. Merry time, dear to the heart of the Russian people. And even if the snow we have now falls as a white blanket, then it melts into the already familiar mud, I do not complain about the lack of mood - look how the Christmas tree burns merrily!

But 20 years ago, it was still more fun in our small village. At Christmas time, everyone walked. There was a strange custom to take rugs out of the corridors of houses and spread them on the main road of the village.. I don't know why it was necessary.

But everyone ran out amusingly to look for a rug. But each apartment had its own! In any case, my grandmother found it unmistakably by the pattern. I'm afraid to be mistaken, but it seems that she herself knitted it from rags - an art now forgotten, and young people may not even understand what it is about and why pensioners knit rugs from old rags)

It seems to me, or do they have no Wi-Fi?)

Now you rarely see rugs in common corridors (like snow on the street, by the way) And it is unlikely that the residents will immediately notice the loss. All employed became)))

That year I didn’t see the carols come to us. And before - it happened! Maybe we just weren't at home)

And today we are sitting at home with my husband, fixing the primus, we are not touching anyone. We hear - a knock on the door. I didn’t understand at first, I listened again. My husband even made his TV with another very clever series about bandits quieter. And we hear - a child's giggle under the door!

Here she is, kolyada! Open the gates, take out your wallets and give the nickels))

Or something like that. Two girls in wigs, a very small boy in masks. They pull the bag and sing a song. An unexpected little thing cheered up! We didn’t give them pyataks, but we didn’t skimp on sweets and fruits (fortunately, there are still many treats left since Christmas!).

We were promoted by the carols, in general)

A fun tradition? Yes. But she pushed me into unkind thoughts.

I thought that I would not want to let my child go on a voyage to apartments. Because it's scary.

Yes, our settlement is very small. As they say, every dog knows each other, and if something happens, it will quickly become known. But! This is exactly what scares: I know what contingent lives in some places. Of course, our "funny uncles" are unlikely to seriously harm 7-10 year old girls and boys, but they can certainly scare ... And who knows what the marginals have in their heads?

Here are 2 stories, I'll tell you in brief:

1). That year, the neighbor pretty much "pounced" invited the children to the family table (it was just the 7th) and for half an hour he got them with his songs in response. At the attempts of his wife to calm down the celebrant, he began to dismiss his hands. I would not want my child to see such a picture ...

2. Not such a harmless case. But similar: the man invited the carollers into the house, for sweets, and then accused of stealing the mobile (he put it under the pillow, as it turned out later). There was a huge scandal with the arrival of the police, a showdown with parents and a guilty look the next day when the loss was found.

What do you think - is there such a tradition in our time? Would you let your children go caroling?

It was interesting?? I look forward to "Thumbs up" in response and a subscription to the channel! THANK YOU!
