We once planted a seedling, which was given by the neighbors of summer residents from our village. But they did not recognize the variety. It turns out that the quality of the fruit and the composition of trace elements depend on the variety.

In this fruit shrub, you can, like black currant, not only use berries, but also boil the leaves and dry them for the winter. And today I want to talk about the varieties of this amazing fruit plant.

The fact is that many who already grow honeysuckle from my friends once planted varieties with small fruits. I'll tell you the difference in the next article. Bakchar giant Is a mid-season variety, the fruits of which can already be enjoyed at the end of the first month of summer. Honeysuckle of this variety can reach up to 1.8-2.5 grams. And the bush usually grows up to 2 m.

Features: fruits are suitable not only for fresh consumption, but also preparations for the winter, freezing. Connoisseurs know how to prepare from fruits not only juices and various fruit drinks, drinks, but also to withstand delicious wines.

Pollination comes from other varieties that will definitely need to be planted side by side. These varieties include Amphora, Pride Bakchar, Azure, Nymph, Memory of Gidzyuk.

Blue spindle - also ripens in mid to late June. The yield is slightly less both from the bush and the size of the fruit - 1-1.5 gr.

Leningrad giant with fruits reaching up to 4 grams. (depending on the nutrient content of the medium) and up to 3 cm long. This is perhaps the largest-fruited variety of those that I personally know.

Features: fruits of a very delicate taste, sweetish-sour, but not at all bitter. The variety is not afraid even of severe frosts, the flowers do not fall off, even if there is a cold snap to -7 in the spring.

Pollinators of this variety: Gzhelka, Blue Spindle, Malvina, Morena, Memory of Kuminov, Blue Bird, Start.

Nymph - also a mid-season variety with large fruits up to 3 cm in length and up to 3 grams. in weight. Stable in every sense and the most unpretentious variety, it grows even under extreme conditions.

Features: Fruits may not crumble on young branches for a long time, so it is necessary to prune in a timely manner for the growth of new shoots. When ripe, honeysuckle does not hang on old branches for long.

Pollinators for this variety are Amphora, Chosen One, Azure, Pavlovskaya, In Memory of Gidzyuk.
