Any tea brewed with your own hands seems to be tastier than purchased ones. Moreover, we know that such a drink is made from our own raw materials, and the preparation process, when aromatic steam fills the kitchen, becomes a kind of relaxation ritual.

Even now, in the midst of winter, it is possible to make your own tea, or rather, an infusion or decoction. Instead of leaves and flowers, young twigs of garden shrubs and trees will be used. Plants will transfer useful substances, a unique smell and give the opportunity to taste something new.

I will write the 5 most ideal options for "tea from the branches" and the features of the drink preparation. I share with you!

Enjoy your tea!

1. It's worth starting with raspberries. I love her for her sweetish and "warm" smell. Raspberry teas are traditionally drunk during colds as an aid. But a healthy and fragrant drink will also come in handy.

2. Not the most common, but definitely delicious option - rose hips

. The prepared drink will taste like a decoction of its fruits. But there is one "but": the resulting "tea" must be filtered, otherwise the small thorns will spoil all the pleasure and cause unpleasant sensations. It's worth it!

3. Sea buckthorn twigs - folk healer. The story goes that in ancient Greece, war horses were given sea buckthorn infusion so that they would gain unprecedented strength. And modern herbalists claim that a drink is even healthier... for humans: it remarkably strengthens the immune system.

4. The most delicious and delicate broth is obtained from some varieties of apple trees.. For example, the good old "Antonovka". The almost transparent drink has a delicate taste. Therefore, if you are not ready for bold experiments right away, start with this option!

5. Black currant is a unique hit! You shouldn't even sing the aroma of the bush. I'm sure each of you remembers him well. But the real highlight of currant infusion is the speed of preparation. It is enough to boil the branches with boiling water for just 1 minute to prepare a fragrant drink.

Now we will logically move on to the universal rules for preparing other infusions / decoctions, which I told you about above:

✔ Use the youngest twigs - ideal for homemade teas and teas. And plants will benefit from mini-pruning. Within reasonable limits, of course.

✔ For 1 liter, take 15 branches 7 cm long (for convenience, you can then grind it). The figures are, of course, approximate. Adjust the strength of the "tea" by the number of shoots to your liking.

✔ Boil the broth for 15-20 minutes.

✔ Let the drink brew - the taste and aroma will only benefit from time to time. At the same time it will cool down! And if you leave the broth overnight, then in the morning you will admire the beautiful dark crimson color.

✔ Do you want sweets? Throw in some good honey and a pleasant tea is guaranteed.
