For whom the cavalier's apartments were invented and where did the fashion for such housing come from?

In Poland, there is a special type of housing - "cavalier" apartments. In the old days, zealous parents with a growing son bought a simple and modest living space to start the adult life of a young man. For the first time, a mini-apartment, usually representing one living room, often even without a kitchen, perfectly fulfilled its function for a young student or a novice specialist. Fortunately, there are enough catering places in large cities. And, in fact, having a kitchen wasn't that important. Over time, the young man began to earn money and could improve his living conditions to the level of a full-fledged apartment.

In modern times, the demand for cavaliers is experiencing a new surge. Warsaw and other Polish cities are developing dynamically. State policy actively attracts emigrants. And many cunning owners of, for example, a three-room apartment will convert one three-ruble note into three cavaliers! That is, a sewage system is carried out into each living room, a partition is installed, behind which a shower stall and a toilet will appear. Then an independent front door appears. And having a kitchen is a matter of taste. With modern building materials and the availability of household appliances of any modification, it is easy to equip a kitchen corner right in the room. Installing a sofa, a small wardrobe and a desk - and the apartment is ready for one person. The legalization of such a scheme is permitted by Polish law.

Apartment sizes reach record sizes! There are miniature living space of 12 square meters. Gold standard 20-27 meters. Almost all Polish developers include apartments under construction with a minimum area and free planning. Apartments are rented out without finishing, but the main communications - sockets, gas, sewerage - make it possible to adapt the premises for themselves.

Such apartments are in demand both in the primary and secondary markets. On the one hand, this is an excellent investment. On the other hand, it is a competent approach to saving resources, because the maintenance of such an apartment costs an acceptable amount. And thirdly, such housing is sometimes the only thing that the influx of emigrants can afford.
