What 5 things does every Muslim have in the house, but the Orthodox do not?
Each nationality, religious affiliation has its own rules and traditions. Therefore, things in houses of different people can be radically different. Now I will tell you about 5 things that Muslims definitely have in the house, but the Orthodox do not.
Namaznik
A namaznik is a prayer garment for a Muslim woman. But not everyone has it, but only wealthy young ladies. Ordinary people put on ordinary home clothes for prayer, only perfectly clean.
You cannot go outside in the prayer room. This is a completely covered garment. Women have only hands and face to blame. In men, legs are still slightly visible. For women, the swab is always free cut, hiding the figure.
Aftafa
Aftafa is a watering can used by Muslims to wash their genitals after each trip to the toilet. Made of plastic, with a long spout and cap. Outwardly, the aftafa looks like an ordinary teapot.
Namazlik
Namazlik or jai namaz is a prayer rug. These rugs can only be bought at the mosque. There you can also buy prayer beads and the Koran for prayer. The cost of the rug is small, within 300 rubles.
An important rule is that the rug must always be clean. Immediately after prayer, it is folded up and removed. They take a rug with them to the mosque for prayer. Men often pray not inside the mosque, but outside (if there is no room inside). Therefore, there is a second mat in stock for such cases, which can be placed on the ground. Also, the second rug comes in handy if guests come to the house: the owner gives a backup option for prayer.
Skullcap
The skullcap is a Muslim man's headdress. For a woman, this is a scarf. Not all skullcaps are suitable for prayer, but special, prayer ones. They are knitted, thin, and fit tightly on the head. A Muslim should not wear a high skullcap, this is prohibited.
Skull-caps are sold in mosques, but many knit them themselves. Cost - from 300 rubles for the simplest models. But there are also expensive, festive, colorful skullcaps, they are expensive.
Koran
Perhaps the most important thing that every Muslim has in his home is the Koran. This is a holy book for all Muslims. In fact, this is an analogue of the Orthodox Bible. The original Quran was written in Arabic, but it has been translated into many languages. Translations do not literally convey the meaning of what is written in the Qur'an, therefore, ideally, read it in Arabic. All prayers, by the way, are also read in Arabic.
You can only pick up the Quran with clean hands. It can only be stored high off the floor. Most often, Muslims have a separate, highest shelf in the closet for this.
Gift Korans cost from 3000 rubles and more. They are decorated with engraving and often come with a storage box.
Of course, these are far from all the things that Muslims have in the house, but the Orthodox do not. Maybe some of the readers know about such products? Tell us!
