How can you live without heating? Ask the British!

For Russians, centralized heating is the norm in all apartments. Of course, there is an old stock of houses and private households, which are heated in winter thanks to the presence of boilers. But most compatriots are not worried that they will have to freeze in winter: in the fall, the pipes of the radiators become hot by themselves, and in the spring the heating is turned off.

The British can only be jealous, because there is no such thing as "central heating" in the country at all. In fact, everyone is heated as they can. Regardless of the age of the house and its number of storeys, all have boilers - water heaters or gas water heaters that supply hot water to the batteries.

Nobody cares that you have no money to pay for gas. If you don't want to, don't heat the apartment and wash yourself with cold water or from a basin heated on the stove.

It is also interesting that there are often no radiators in the bathrooms, so the temperature in these rooms in winter rarely exceeds 10 degrees. What a joy: to get out of a hot bath in a steamed state and immediately get into the cold, feverishly pulling on warm clothes.

By the way, the British also rarely heat their bedroom - it's expensive! Therefore, everyone must sleep in warm pajamas and under warm blankets. Most often there is a timer on the boiler. Therefore, most Britons set an alarm, for example, at seven in the morning, and turn on the boiler at 6.45. This is enough to at least wake up warm.

It is not surprising that "famous" British scientists have long stated that temperatures exceeding 21 degrees are uncomfortable for humans, and more than 24 degrees can even lead to a heart attack. And the naive British believe them!

Now tell this to your grandmother, who sleeps in a 30-degree frost in a light shirt and walks around the house in a dressing gown. Brrr ...
