"Apartment within walking distance" or the fulfillment of a bachelor's dream - a sysadmin

I remember there was (and still is) the computer game "The Sims". A dozen years ago, with friends - programmers, he created an ideal apartment for a system administrator, besides a bachelor. The main concept of the studio apartment was the accessibility of any object in one step from the center of the room. Now I am doing this in real life.

The axis around which my little cozy world revolves is the computer chair. More precisely, I rotate on this axis. A kick with your foot - and now you're in the kitchen. Another push and fingers habitually lie on the keyboard in the working area. That's just to get to the hallway and bathroom to get far - as much as three or four steps.

When I entered, the main problem was to somehow arrange my things. In general, there were not so many of them, with the exception of computers (the profession requires) and backpacks with sleeping bags (requires a hobby). I coped with the task, I can share a couple of secrets.

See the big burgundy curtains? Firstly, they protect from the sun - the apartment is located on the south side of the house. Secondly, it is a shelter for long things. There is a stepladder on the left, and an ironing board on the right. Under the sofa is a warehouse for building materials, for the renovation is still ongoing.

Despite its diminutiveness, the kitchen is quite complete. There are separate compartments for dishes, groceries, kitchen utensils and household items. The refrigerator is just too big, but I inherited it from the previous owner.

The renovation work in the bathroom is almost complete. The view, however, is spoiled by a large top-loading washing machine. I expect to replace it with a model with horizontal loading, narrower. Here's where to attach household chemicals, until I figured it out.

This concludes my impromptu sightseeing tour of my modest but cozy home. And finally I will say - it doesn't matter what size your house is. It is important that you want to return there.
