Learning how to properly grow Aster seedlings in order to enjoy gorgeous Blossom in the summer

Many people love multi-colored asters, which delight with long flowering and decorate flower beds. The flower is unpretentious, cultivation does not cause any particular difficulties.

Aster can be grown using seeds or seedlings. I prefer seedlings, then the plant begins to bloom much earlier and pleases with a gorgeous look for a long time. I will share all the intricacies of properly growing seedlings.

Growing seedlings

To begin with, prepare a box for seedlings, its height should be at least 5 cm, and a glass that matches the box in size. Prepare a soil mixture, which includes soil, sand, humus in equal amounts.

In order for the seedlings to be strong, the seeds must be sown in nutritious soil. I will tell you how to prepare it: steam the prepared soil mixture in the oven, add wood ash, at the rate of 200 g of ash per bucket of soil.

The addition of perlite will help oxygenate the soil. Thanks to this, the root system of the seedlings will develop faster.

The further process consists of the following stages:

Fill the box with soil mixture, lightly compact and pour with a weak solution of potassium permanganate;

· In order for the plants to grow healthy, I recommend treating the seeds with fungicides before planting. This will prevent the defeat of plants by fungal diseases;

· Make shallow (up to 2 cm) grooves in the ground and spread the treated seeds in them, and cover with soil;

· Finally, close the drawer with glass to prevent rapid evaporation of moisture.

With proper planting of seeds, after 5-10 days, shoots will begin to appear. Then the glass should be removed from the box.

For the further growth of seedlings, it is necessary to provide favorable conditions: choose a place that will be well lit and maintain the air temperature no higher than 15 C. Otherwise, the seedlings can stretch out strongly.

Periodically, moisten the soil with warm water. For this purpose, I use a spray gun - it's convenient. Do not overmoisten the soil, otherwise the seedlings may be affected by the black leg.

If signs of a disease are found, all affected shoots must be immediately removed, the place of their removal must be covered with soil and treated with a fungicide.

In the future, care for ha seedlings will not give you much trouble. Top dressing is not required, since the soil was originally nutritious.
