What to do if the length of the direct suspension is not enough when installing the frame from the profile.
During renovations when finishing walls and ceilings quite often it becomes necessary to mount metal profile frame.
Wherein strength, reliability and durability of this design largely depends on suspensions, on which the entire frame essentially rests.
Direct suspensionsare metal plates with perforations.
They are attached to a wall or ceiling, and a metal profile is already mounted directly to the suspensions.
As a result small space is formedwhere they usually post heat and sound insulation, electrical wires and other elements that spoil the interior design.
And everything would be fine but sometimes it is necessary to make this small space wider.
And then the problem arises.
When installing straight hangers to the wall lack of their lengthto freeze the profile.
The question arises: "What to do in this case?"
There are several ways to solve this problem.
The first way is this buy elongated straight suspensions.
The option, of course, is a good one, but they are rarely on sale, although they exist.
Second way - this build up existing suspensions.
For this, another suspension is taken and cut in half.
The result is two perforated plates, which are attached on each side to the existing suspension.
This method also has disadvantages:
- you need to buy twice as many suspensions;
- the rigidity of the structure will be lower.
The best option, in my opinion, is making a suspension of the required length with your own hands.
We will make it from a rack-mount profile.
At first take measurements and mark the required length of the future suspension on the profile with a marker.
Then using metal scissors, we make side cuts on the rack-mount profile.
Then using pliers we straighten the edges of the profile (to make it easier to bend) and bend it at an angle of 90 degrees.
We fix the resulting angle with self-tapping screws on both sides.
It's so easy to make a reliable suspension with your own hands..
To ensure the rigidity of the structure during the installation of the frame, such suspensions are attached on both sides of the profile.
