How I increased the currant yield 1.5 times with the help of soda
How can we get a big harvest from any plant? Of course, by creating favorable conditions for him, destruction from fungi and insects. I set out to get the maximum yield of currants.
I decided to pick up budget recipes without using any chemicals. And ordinary baking soda came to my rescue. Every summer resident knows that soda is an irreplaceable assistant in the fight against high acidity of the soil, as well as all kinds of pests.
Powdery mildew
The following instructions will help to get rid of powdery mildew: add 80g of soda and 40g of ordinary laundry soap to 10 liters of water, mix everything thoroughly and spray the currants with the mixture. You need to spray once a week, you can also use it during fruiting.
Late blight
It happens that currants also get sick from phytophthora. For the prevention and elimination of this disease on the bushes, it is worth making a solution for 10 liters of water, pour 60 g of soda. All bushes should be sprayed with this solution within a week, but on days 3-5 the results will be evident.
Slugs
If the bushes are covered with slugs, then you can prepare a regular solution using soda: 10 liters of water + 40 g of soda + 40 g of any soap. Mix, spray every 10 days.
Aphid
These insects are the # 1 enemy for currants. To combat them, the following list helps: 5 liters of water + 100 g of ash + 10 g of soap + 30 g of soda. Processing time: within 3 days in calm weather.
These methods help to increase the yield of currants at times, because if nothing threatens it, then the bush will "thank" you for proper care and, most importantly, proper care. Good luck and good harvests.
