To get an impressive potato crop, the soil must contain the following basic elements:

Nitrogen;

Phosphorus;

Potassium;

Magnesium;

· Trace elements (boron, sulfur, manganese, cobalt, vanadium).

All these substances necessary for the normal development of a plant are contained in manure. Many are afraid to use fresh manure so as not to burn the young roots. I can say with confidence that I have not seen a more effective fertilizer, but it is straw manure that must be used.

Planting potatoes in this way includes the following steps:

1. It is necessary to dig holes, and their size should be larger than with the usual method of planting.

2. Straw manure should be placed on the bottom of the holes, add a handful of wood ash and sprinkle with a layer of earth.

3. Then you need to lay out the potato tubers and fill the holes to the top with earth.

4. In the absence of rain, the area must be well moistened.

This method works on all soils, it is just that on poor soils you will need to apply a little more manure. The nutrients that are introduced into the wells during planting are quite enough for the normal growth and development of plants for the entire active growing season until flowering. And at the beginning of budding, foliar fertilization with potash fertilizers is very effective.

Another huge advantage of applying fresh straw manure directly to the holes is the possibility of planting potatoes very early.

Due to the slow decomposition of straw, not only plant nutrition will be provided, but also soil heating, since a significant amount of heat is released during decomposition of plant residues.

It is especially important to use this method in case of unstable spring weather and the constant threat of night frosts.
