I saw a cheap one on the market for 50 rubles and took it. At that time, she arranged for me, a rubberized case, 5 meters, what is needed, however, with time an annoying malfunction appeared, stopped holding the main tape stopper. I decided to disassemble and see what was the matter.

Disassembly

It turned out that the plastic stopper mechanism was worn out and did not hold the tape, and began to think how to fix the situation with minimal body movements. It is clear that you need to build up plastic, but how?

Repairs

There was a simple idea to slightly flatten the plastic in the place where it touched the tape, thereby increasing the protrusion. For this purpose I used pliers, they did an excellent job.

When the button was pressed, the tape began to lock again in the preset position.

By the way, I noticed that in addition to the main one, the roulette had two more brakes, which were designed for constant holding, only then they fixed the tape.

Each of them braked the coil from a different side, it is inconvenient to use them, forwhat they are needed and did not understand, maybe of you who knows?
