Sometimes, during work, various non-standard situations arise, which, with the manifestation of ingenuity, are easily resolved using an ordinary roulette.

The first situation

I have had cases when the tool fell into some hard-to-reach niches, for example, when laying floorboards, and in order not to disassemble it, it was twisted as follows.

He took a furniture magnet, fastened it to the end of the tape measure and fished out the failed tool. The magnet can be fixed better for reliability.

To do this, in the end of the plastic with a magnet, it is enough to drill a hole and tie it to the hook of the tape measure with a wire or thread. It will turn out reliably, as you can see, even heavy pliers on the shoulder of such a fishing rod, and it will also cope with a hammer. You can also pick up a fallen tool when you are on a ladder or stepladder to avoid going down ten times.

Second situation

I have seen many times that people have difficulties with marking the pipe, for the solution they glue electrical tape or masking tape around the circumference, but it can be easier.

In such cases, I squeeze the pipe with a tape of a tape measure, it fits well and does not jump off, and I circle it with a marker or pencil. At work, the tape measure is always at hand.
