When the whole family is isolated, a good sofa is needed. How I chose and what I paid attention to

Do you also spend most of your time on the couch in isolation? We - yes: with the whole family we watch full-length cartoons, in the same place we draw, we collect puzzles, and even play board games. Size allows:

I never get tired of being amazed at my intuition. How I bought it on time! We moved from a small rented kopeck piece to our own three-room apartment in early February. Naturally, not all of the old furniture moved with us, we had to buy something in addition. It was a lot of expenses, but I was impatient to buy a sofa for the living room.

My husband did not dissuade me, and after going around a dozen furniture showrooms in the city, we ended up buying a sofa of our dreams in another region. This also happens. And now - a month later he was brought into the hall. And a week later, a self-isolation regime was introduced in our city.

How did I choose and what did I pay attention to?

· Convenience. You have to sit on the sofa. If allowed, you can even lie down. You should be comfortable.

· The size. Strange, of course, but consultants in furniture stores complain that buyers often come to choose furniture without making all the necessary measurements. I clearly knew - the wall was 4 m, respectively, I needed a sofa 3.80 m (so as not to be right next to the windowsill).

· Upholstery. Mothers will understand me - sofa upholstery is very important in a house with small children. Leatherette is good - it looks beautiful, easy to clean, but quickly wipes and scratches. The fabric of my sofa is amazing, it washes well with a damp sponge, dries quickly, and is soft.

· The presence of a bed and a box for linen. I chose a sofa with a folding module - in case of guests. And it is imperative that there is a place where you can hide bedding.

· Price. Large sofas are a big expense. And the model that I liked is really expensive. In our salons, similar modular sofas cost from 90 to 250 thousand rubles (depending on the upholstery fabric). And we bought it for 50 thousand rubles.

· Design, color. Well, where without it, everything should be in harmony with the interior.

I want to give some practical advice on choosing a sofa based on my experience:

1. If the sofa is large (like ours) - take a modular one. It is very convenient - the modules can be interchanged, creating new interior solutions. In addition, during cleaning, you do not have to pull out the entire structure at once.

2. If there are small children in the house, pay attention to the corners, armrests. These are potentially dangerous places for children running and jumping around the couch. Now we don't have such corners and armrests, but before we did, so I know what I'm talking about.

The pros and cons of my sofa

My sofa has practically no drawbacks, well, except that it is heavy (due to the massive lower part). But the pluses are the sea:

· Beautiful, non-marking, perfectly fit into the interior of our living room. Gray-beige is a very noble color.

· Huge berth due to the folding module. Guys, this is really a very large sofa:
