In order for cucumber seeds to sprout quickly, you can use the following tips from experienced summer residents and gardeners.

Potassium humate

For these purposes, the following solutions are used. One of them is a solution of potassium humate. The main component of the product is harmless humic acid. Potassium humate is also used to stimulate the root system, for the lush flowering of plants and the prevention of diseases.

To soak cucumber seeds, you need 1 ml of potassium humate per 100 grams of warm water. It is enough to hold the seed material for up to 1-2 hours in the prepared solution. The seeds should swell. Then the solution is drained and the seeds are laid out for germination, or they are immediately planted in the ground. The latter are ready for landing.

Peroxidehydrogen

Another agent that will help the seeds hatch quickly is hydrogen peroxide. It is in almost every home medicine cabinet.

If the seeds are soaked in this three percent product for 20-30 minutes, they are disinfected, quickly saturated with oxygen, while metabolic processes are activated due to oxygen atoms.

Hydrogen peroxide softens the seed coat, which helps the sprout to hatch faster.

All these procedures with soaking cucumber seeds are attributed only to ordinary seeds, without a special colored shell (these are already ready for planting without preliminary measures).

Fertilizersonbasisbiohumus

Often I soak cucumber seeds in a liquid solution based on biohumus. For example, I use the universal fertilizer "Ideal". I soak the seeds in it for a day.

I also use fertilizer for feeding seedlings of peppers, tomatoes, cabbage. I keep the tubers and bulbs of flower cultures in solution for 2 days.

Thanks to the solutions indicated above, cucumber seeds are disinfected and hatch quickly.
