When you spend all day at the computer, the position of the back in the chair is very important. Back support computer chair
When working remotely from home, the workplace is very important. And the main thing here is the chair. An incorrectly chosen chair will bring a lot of inconvenience, pain in the back - lower back, cervical spine in particular. It is worth choosing this piece of furniture not only from the point of view of its external qualities - the color of the chair, whether it suits the general interior, but first of all - functionality.
We chose the chair considering that different people (me and my husband) would have to work on it in turn. I am in the afternoon. Husband - at night (he works for a foreign company, according to their schedule). This means that the chair will perform its functions almost 24 hours a day.
How we chose the chair
What functions of the chair should you pay attention to:
· Back relief;
· The angle of inclination of the back, relative to the seat;
· Structural strength;
Let's look at each point in more detail.
Back relief
The back of the chair must not be flat. Stand in profile in front of a mirror and watch your back bend in a normal position. Ideally, if there is no scoliosis, then the back should give a kind of "wave". But there are no ideal people. And instead of treating the back with a chair (which is impossible in itself), you need to choose the most suitable anatomically.
There should be a headrest. And a small "pillow" in the lumbar region. But you have to try. We sat in a chair right in the store and checked whether it was comfortable or not. Many chairs did not fit and, even with their "advanced design", remained on the counter.
Backrest angle, relative to the seat
The tilt angle must be adjustable. Only then will it be comfortable to sit back. Ergonomically, it is assumed that each person has their own angle of comfort.
In this model, the tilt angle is adjustable and secured by armrests. The function of a non-fixed back is very unhelpful. The backrest should not "wobble" when reclining.
Structural strength
What is the chair made of? How well do the screws hold? My husband and I have different body weights (logical!) And given that the load on the chair will be frequent and heavy, we need to choose a solid structure.
Pay attention to casters (casters). If the rollers break, then due to the overweight there will be a curvature of the structure. This entails enormous inconvenience.
Pros and cons
We are completely satisfied with the design of the purchased chair. Durable metal, comfortable back, back support.
Of the minuses, I can note the upholstery of the chair. In principle, we did not choose leather - we are for the environment. The chair is made of eco-leather (pleasant to touch with the body).
The material is not durable. Long-term contact with furniture deteriorates the upholstery.
