Throw away this trash. Or 5 useless things to get rid of regularly
“Perhaps it will come in handy” is the motto of our grandmothers and mothers. They remember times of constant scarcity. All the time they had to find something, get it and alter it. It is very difficult for them to throw out a seemingly good thing. But the 21st century has come!
Good afternoon dear friends!
Time of abundance of goods, services and information. Now it is much easier and faster to buy, for example, new things (dresses, pants, socks, etc.) than to sit down and sew up old ones. And besides, spring spring cleaning is a great time to “de-clutter” your apartment, making your house a neat and tidy space. And in order to make it easier for you to identify household items (household goods, medicines, food, etc.), which should be scrapped with enviable regularity, I have prepared this small list.
Well, are you ready to “go through the list” and wonder how many of these things are still kept at home?
1.Expired products. Buckwheat, canned food, toilet paper, matches, medicines... the standard set of the average Russian to “buy” in any crisis situation. Only this period passes quickly. And the "products" remain, cluttering up the already "mean" space of our apartments! Maybe it is worth taking an inventory and checking all the products you have stored: for the expiration date, for breaking the packaging, for a strange smell, etc.? All these "signals" are a reason to get rid of it!
Gather your will in a fist and throw out all the "delay". If you cannot do it yourself, ask your household. After lying down for another couple of months or years, the products will not become fresh!
2.Old knives. For some reason, it is not customary for us to throw away knives. In each kitchen, they are typed in 1.5-2 dozen different types and shapes. Some of them are inconvenient, others are of poor quality, and still others are impossible to sharpen. Sometimes there are even broken copies.
Remember which ones you really use. There will be at most 4 or 5 of them. The rest will lie like a dead weight, cluttering up your kitchen. Throw them away safely!
3.Spice. Some people think that spices and seasonings can last for years. I want to disappoint you, it is not. They have their own shelf life, quite long, but not infinite. After 2-3 years, most of them lose their properties - taste and aroma. Therefore, you should not buy spices "in reserve" and store them for decades.
Try to check the shelf life of the spices regularly, 1-2 times a year. Part with expired ones mercilessly. Otherwise, one day your dish may acquire an unexpected and extremely unpleasant taste.
4.Plastic bags. I even find it difficult to say how many bags of different shapes, sizes, colors can be in one apartment. They are all kept just in case. Sometimes packages are really needed. But everything should be in moderation! Since the situation when they fill the entire space of drawers, cabinets, door handles is a stone's throw!
Therefore, I recommend that you get rid of them once a month by putting all the extra packages into one and sending it to the trash can. Perhaps they will be taken for processing.
5.Cracked dishes. As well as not taking care of the dishes, one day their service life will expire. Chips, cracks, abrasions appear on it... in which, over time, harmful bacteria can develop. This means that the dishes are beginning to threaten your health! It's time to part with her.
Moreover, according to feng shui, chipped kitchen utensils attract bad luck and negative energy into the house. And according to Russian belief, it also brings lack of money!
