I tell you what I put in the Hole when I plant Cucumbers in the ground. The harvest pleases from year to year
The development of a plant depends on what it will eat in the first days after germination. With a lack of trace elements, the seedlings will wither away or become sick.
For full development, cucumber seedlings must be provided with potassium, phosphorus and nitrogen. This will strengthen the immune system, increase resistance to temperature extremes, and also get a good harvest.
The use of manure as fertilizer cannot provide cucumber seedlings with all the necessary substances. Pumpkin crops are very voracious and need a lot of organic and mineral substances. There is not always time for regular feeding, so it is best to provide the plant with everything it needs when planting.
It is very important to consider all the predecessors of the cucumber. It is best if you arrange a garden in the place where tomatoes, peas (best of all), potatoes, cabbage, beets grew.
Autumn feeding
Preparation for growing this crop begins in the fall. I dig the garden bed and process it with a solution of copper sulfate. Thanks to this, it is possible to destroy many harmful microorganisms. It is enough to dissolve a tablespoon in 10 liters of water. For 1 sq. I give 1 liter of solution.
I also bring fresh cow or horse manure to the garden bed and dig it up. During the winter, this fertilizer will rot and become suitable for cucumbers.
It is very important to add potash salts to the soil. The presence of potassium in the soil ensures the active development of young plants, rapid growth of green mass and resistance to diseases. To do this, I introduce ash or ready-made fertilizer.
Nettle pillow
Before embarking on planting, I dig a deep hole up to half a meter wide. At the bottom I place a layer of chopped nettles (leaves and stems), as well as a little wood ash and chopped eggshells.
I mix this whole mixture together with the earth and sprinkle it a little with earth. You can add a small amount of compost and a few tablespoons of bone meal here.
It is also allowed to use rotted sawdust (not fresh), hay, straw or leaves.
Cucumbers can be planted with seeds or seedlings. Also, dry seeds can be soaked in water for several days. They will give earlier seedlings. But germinated seeds can be planted only after the threat of frost has passed, otherwise the young plants will die.
After planting, the hole should be mulched with peat or straw. If the need arises, I water it.
As a result of fermentation processes, useful substances are formed that the plant will use throughout the season.
To prevent the formation of root rot, I put several tablets of glyoclodine in the hole. Also, the hole can be treated with a weak solution of potassium permanganate.
