My new tabletop stove, or why I chose induction

I have to rent a house, but sooner or later I moved from each apartment to a new place. And the presence of a stove for me has not become a decisive criterion for a long time when choosing a new home. I'm used to table stoves.

My criteria for choosing a tabletop

I didn't have any requirements for the stove at all. I only knew 2 things:

● 1 hotplate is enough;

● I want induction.

I have worked with induction cookers before. Their price is higher, but the cooking process is faster. And I loved it. By the end of the first day of searching, I settled on several models that I compared with each other. And in the end I settled on Esperanza EKH006.

Oddly enough, the decisive factor was the appearance: the completely smooth glass surface in the picture looked stylish and neat. I was a little worried that the induction coil would be fragile and the glass would break. But she still looked like a technique with which it is convenient. And I was right.

Esperanza EKH006 advantages

Although my approach to selection may seem strange, I checked all the information about the induction hob beforehand. In fact, most of its counterparts are not so different from each other. This particular model may seduce you:

● touch control;

● the presence of 4 modes;

● the ability to change the temperature;

● working area diameter - 24 cm.

These are the benefits that can be easily identified from the description of Esperanza EKH006 on the Internet. Personally, I was most pleased with the absolutely smooth surface. The glass is durable, not scratched, and most importantly, it is enough to wipe it with a rag to keep it clean. My previous models had a "raised" work area, so it was difficult to wipe off grease from some places. I have been using the stove every day for more than half a year, and it looks like new.

Another advantage that is characteristic of all induction machines is that the bottom of the dishes does not smoke. Yes, not all pans and pans are suitable. Yes, the cheapest dishes will not work. But that's not a problem for me. But my kit will last longer.

Disadvantages of the model

In practice, I encountered only 2 disadvantages:

● the stove is not suitable for long-term cooking;

● the sensor can switch independently.

The stove has overheating protection. This is good on the one hand, but on the other hand, I can no longer boil some bone broths. They need to be kept on fire for a long time, and after an hour the stove turns off.

The sensor itself is not bad. It's convenient to use it, although I don't see much difference between push-button control. But the sensor is quite sensitive. A couple of times I noticed that if a drop of water falls on the button for raising or lowering the temperature, the sensor will react.
