What I put in the bottom of a Indoor Plant Pot and Achieve a Gorgeous Flowering Without Problem

Caring for houseplants is a real art in which there are no minor details. How to fertilize, how to prune, when to water - so much has been written and said about this!

But other secrets are suddenly revealed, like pearls thrown ashore by a sea wave and having tried them personally, convinced of their effectiveness, so I want to share them with other amateurs home flora!

For more than one year, I got used to planting or replanting plants, to prepare the pot and its contents in a special way. I sterilize the container, soil. I put a drainage layer of expanded clay or small pebbles at the very bottom.

Then I sprinkle some earth in a finger-thick layer and add finely chopped fresh banana peels. Then I fill in the rest of the earth.

Banana is an amazingly healthy fruit and not only for humans. It contains, in particular, organic acids, starch, potassium, phosphorus and magnesium.

The banana peel should not be green or even just yellow, but from overripe fruit, that is, covered with brown spots. The fact is that it is at this stage that starch and other valuable elements pass into a form that is easily digestible for plants.

Banana skins decompose for a very long time, one high-quality fertilizer with its help is enough for several months. And without exaggeration, I can say that the effect is fantastic!

A plant planted in such a pot quickly adapts to a new place, grows more actively and forms flower ovaries in large quantities. Which then, even a little earlier than the predicted date, open up into wonderful, long-lasting flowers.

All that needs to be done in order for the plant to draw out useful substances from the banana is to water it moderately, avoiding either overdrying the substrate or swamping it.

On several occasions I have seen the claim that you can use dried banana peel for the same purpose, but from personal experience I can say that it does not bring the same noticeable results.

And I do not like the use of banana infusions for watering for the reason that after them some hard-to-remove midges can start in the pot.

I also want to emphasize that a banana, before peeling and removing the peel, should be thoroughly washed with a brush and soap or a special detergent for washing food.

This is necessary so as not to bring infectious agents into the flower pot.
