To what depth should the grape seedlings be planted.
Usually the seedlings are sold in cups filled with soil. The depth of the hole should be such that the top layer of soil in the glass is immersed in the soil by 25-35 cm.
It is necessary to fill the hole a few centimeters above the node level. This means that the depth of the hole itself should be at least 20-30 cm. All excess land must be covered with a slide from above from the north side. Part of the hole without a slide will be better warmed up by the sun's rays, accelerating the growth of the root system.
From the walls of the pit and slide, the rays will be reflected, increasing heating and contributing to better plant development. Also, a 2-meter or higher pole must be inserted into the hole, to which the bush will be tied in the future.
Of course, many are wondering why it is necessary to observe exactly the specified distance when planting and digging a hole. The answer is simple. With the onset of spring and warm days, the buds begin to bloom in the grapes, but the root system begins to work only when the earth warms up to at least + 10C.
If you hide the root system too deeply, then you will have to wait longer for it to activate. It is impossible to plant a seedling above, since with the onset of cold weather, frost will harm it.
