They only need a pot! Or 6 types of vegetables that can be grown on a windowsill
Do you want to taste fresh, tasty, juicy, naturally grown vegetables every day without adding all kinds of chemicals? Easy!
Good afternoon dear friends!
At the same time, you don't even need to run to the market or spend all your weekends on a trip and hilling a large plantation in the country. It is enough just to allocate a little space on the windowsill or balcony and choose the right vegetable, as well as the container for it. Yes Yes exactly! Because there is a lot of vegetables and fruits that can be grown in a confined space and at home. It is about these 6 agricultural crops that I decided to tell you today.
And now about each vegetable personally!
1.Cucumbers. For their cultivation, a classic medium-sized pot and several thin guides for the "tops" are convenient, which will ensure the growth of its ovary upwards. Water the crop regularly and abundantly. After all, water scarcity will result from the bitterness of the fruit. And for more intensive growth of the cucumber, place the pot in the sun.
And in a couple of months you will be harvesting your first crop (about 6 fruits from one bush)!
2.Garlic. It is not expensive to buy garlic. Although, given the recent events, the price for it has increased significantly. But that's not the point! There is no certainty that you are buying an environmentally friendly local product, and not Chinese. Therefore, it is better to take the situation under your personal control. So, plant garlic cloves in a pot about 20 centimeters high (with a distance of about 10-15 centimeters). Water the soil as it dries inconclusively and within 10 days you will have fresh feathers for your salad.
And a little later, a full-fledged garlic fruit!
3.Carrot. Of course, if you grow carrots for Korean salads or Ukrainian hearty borscht, you will need more than one window sill. But if for its pure use, with health benefits, especially for children, then it makes sense to plant it in an apartment. In sandy soil and with sufficient watering.
Carrots "created" in a chemical-free environment will be sweet and crunchy!
4.Eggplant. This dainty purple nightshade loves heat and light. This means that it can be grown at home all year round! The only thing is, try to choose a wide large capacity for it, while not forgetting about natural fertilization and regular watering.
As a result, you will get a juicy eggplant with 5-6 fruits per one sown "grain".
5.Shanghai cabbage. Miniature Chinese cabbage is one of the most unpretentious vegetables to grow at home. She does not need a large container, and she does not require a lot of sun, only 2-3 hours a day is enough. It is only important to promote its active growth with a small amount of natural fertilizer and regular watering with water at room temperature.
And in just 3 weeks you will be able to make exotic dishes in a wok!
6.Spinach. It is a tricky vegetable that is easy to grow at home. This is a "pot" of vitamins that you will always have at your fingertips! I will not talk about the inexhaustible benefits of spinach for your body, this is not my profile. But I will share the method of growing it. You will need to pre-soak the seeds in warm water for 2-3 days. Then, at a maximum depth of 3 centimeters, plant the seeds 2 centimeters apart. Sprinkle with soil, water and wait for the first shoots!
Spinach doesn't like light, so find a darker spot for it.
