How is it in the south? Beach before the season

I think many blog readers know that I live in Berdyansk (Ukraine) - a small resort and port city with a population of 120,000. The season will start soon and many are worried about what it will be like, because work and business for a large part of residents are associated only with vacationers. Whether people will come or not - no one knows, but the city is actively preparing for the season.

In the evening, take a walk to the shore in the Liski area, where private houses and yards are almost on the shore, in some places the distance from the water to the fence or walls is only 15-20 meters. More than 30 tons of algae were recently removed from the beach here after winter, so it was interesting to see how it looks.

In the first picture, which is above - a view towards the port area, and in the photo below - the continuation of the same part of the coastline, only in the opposite direction, and even at the time of sunset.

Last year, on this beach, in some places, began to build protective structures, as in some places the water began to erode the road and reached private buildings. First, a site was poured along the coast with concrete, on which later from steel mesh and coarse gravel mounted such a shaft, but I don’t know what it’s called. Immediately behind it is a narrow road and residential buildings.

While walking in the direction of the port, I met a lot of fishermen, it's a pity only to see their catch in the form of bearings. The water in the sea is still cool, it feels like 14-15 degrees, no more. For that it is very clean, although I did not notice any living creatures near the coast. There are still not many people who want to walk along the coast, but still, staying here is very refreshing.

Closer to the port there are several small old ships. One of them, which is painted black, bears the proud name "Vitaly", and next door is "Berezan".

I sent my friend, whose name is Vitaly, a picture of this iron "Vitaly", so he went out of pride and immediately bought a CAKE, but did not say which one.

The continuation of this unpretentious pier, along which ships stand, is a fence, behind which there is already a port area with a pass control.

The beach left a pleasant impression, quite clean and, as you can see, the sand was not washed into the sea during the cold season, which means that it will not be brought in additionally, although this happens. Here is such a spring unloading sketch. All good!
