What I put in every Host Hole. Every year they delight me with Lush juicy leaves

Hosts are a genus and group of ornamental plants valued by gardeners primarily not for flowers, but for luxurious greenery. Adoring hosts more than glorified roses, naturally, I plant them on a plot on every free piece of land.

And so that they grow every year with lush juicy leaves, I got used to when planting them in each hole to bring a special remedy according to a folk recipe.

I'm talking about regular compost or humus - 1 bucket is enough for about 6-8 holes.

Plus, in the indicated measure of one of these funds, I mix:

2 cobs of ground corn

1 chopped banana peel

0.5 cups of crushed eggshells.

It is well known how rotted manure and compost increases soil fertility.

But other supplements are important because:

1. The starch from the decaying banana is converted into sugars, which activate host growth and the production of chlorophyll in the aerial portion. B vitamins from the fruit accelerate root development.

2. Corn cobs contain amino acids, directly affecting the strengthening of host immunity, which reduces the risk of bacterial diseases, and in the event of an invasion of pests - allows plants to quickly recover from physical damage, for example, gnawed leaves.

3. Eggshell calcium enhances the production of color pigments, which makes hosts as decorative as possible.

So that in a permanent place the hosts feel good and fully assimilate the introduced mixture, before how to make holes, I dig the ground under them on 2 bayonets of a shovel, that is, at least 50 cm deep.

In addition, if the soil is heavy and clayey, sand must be added to it, and if, on the contrary, it is too light, sandy, when digging, leaf or turf soil, as well as low-lying peat, are introduced into it.

Each of the additives is taken in the amount of 1 bucket per 1 square meter of planting.

The nature and biology of the hosts is such that due to the introduction of a sufficient amount of nutrients during planting, they do not need regular fertilization in the first 1-2 years of life.

This is especially important for varieties and varieties in which the lower surface of the leaves is unusually colored.

With the usual application of fertilizers after planting, there is a very high risk of not calculating their dosage and overfeeding young plants with minerals, provoke a literal loss of bright colors and wilting from root.
