Why you shouldn't throw away soap residues. Or 6 Cool Recycling Ideas
What do you do with the remnant after purchasing a new fragrant bar of soap? Are you sending it to the trash bin? Or store it somewhere in the bottom compartment of the closet in the bathroom or kitchen? According to the principle: it is not necessary, but it is also a pity to throw it away!
Good afternoon dear friends!
So, if you still belong to the second category of housewives who make such "reserves", then this is extremely rational! Even a remnant can be given a second life, making it necessary and useful in everyday life. And how to do it from the good old pieces, I will tell you and show you below in this article.
I will say more! In fact, there are so many ideas that, perhaps, all your soap reserves will not be enough to put them into practice!
1.Handmade soap. Let's start with the fun part! First, grind up the remaining soap and boil it in water. Better yet, in milk! Then add essential oil, herbal solution, or fruit pieces. The more useful components there are, the more interesting the “product” you will receive as a result. Then keep the mass on fire for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally. It remains to pour the hot solution into silicone cake tins and leave them to cool overnight.
Already in the morning you will receive a completely new bar of soap. Useful in composition and unique in its shape!
2.Liquid soap. Ideal for a decent stock of remnants. So, first take bars of soap equal to the volume of a standard product. Then put them in a saucepan and pour 4 cups of cold water into it. Do not remove from heat until soap and water are a single consistency. Leave the resulting mass overnight, and in the morning repeat the process, only with 6 glasses of water, while not forgetting to add a few drops of essential oil and 2 teaspoons of glycerin. Continue to cook until the contents in the container are like a classic liquid soap.
And then pour the solution into a container with a dispenser and use it as intended!
3.Shaving gel. How about making a handmade gift for your man? Moreover, the process itself is not very different from the previous one! It is only necessary to finely chop the remnants and boil them in the same way as “liquid soap”, only with proportions that are exactly halved. Then you will have a thicker mass that can be used as shaving foam! By the way, you can add aloe oil, it soothes the skin, or a couple of drops of eucalyptus, which will give a pleasant feeling of freshness and vigor.
Reincarnation, of course, radical, but very original!
4.Dishwashing liquid. Do you have remnants of laundry soap? Wonderful! You can try making a more gentle detergent. To do this, grate the pieces of soap on a fine grater and dissolve them in hot water. Then add baking soda and a few drops of lemon, orange, or mint. Then stir the resulting mass until smooth and leave for several hours.
That's all! The dishwashing liquid is ready.
5.Self-foaming sponge. And this trick is outrageously simple! Just make a small notch in the dish sponge and place a small bar of soap in it. Wet it a little, and you don't need any extra cleanser. A similar technique can be repeated with a body sponge.
A piece of fragrant soap can easily replace your shower gel while taking water procedures.
6.Fragrance for things. And finally, the simplest solution! Simply put the remnants on shelves or drawers. Just make sure that this type of "flavoring" does not irritate you.
As a result, not only your clothes will acquire a pleasant smell, but every time you open the wardrobe, you will be accompanied by a train of fragrant breath.
