Why think before planting cherry tomatoes? I tell you the advantages and disadvantages of miniature Tomatoes

Recently, a neighbor in the country saw that I was growing Cherry tomatoes and asked if it was difficult to take care of them and what pitfalls there were in caring for them.

I want to say in advance that I planted these tomatoes in my dacha only after four years of growing them at home on my balcony in the city, so I already have some experience.

What difficulties can arise?

As for caring for Cherry, yes, this variety is difficult to care for. They are very whimsical and if you forget to water ordinary indoor plants once a week, then I do not advise you to start planting these tomatoes and think that they will grow well.

For good growth, they need to provide special comfortable conditions. Cherries will only bear fruit if you carefully monitor the amount of light, humidity and temperature in the room or on the balcony. Just want to warn you about the temperature - it should not be higher than 25 degrees Celsius, but not much lower.

That is why, if you still decide to try yourself as an amateur gardener, then I advise you to first try to plant them in your apartment, and not somewhere in the country.

Subtleties of care

There are only three of them:

● Choosing high-quality garters for tomatoes in specialized stores is a separate problem, so some make them themselves from improvised means.

Advice: If you decide to make supports yourself, use wood or bamboo materials to create them.

● Plant two small cherry tomato bushes in one large pot of at least 5 liters. It sounds strange, but it is a fact - it turned out to be much easier for me to care for a large pot than for a small one. A neighbor in the country also followed my advice and does not seem to complain yet.

● Seeds germinate at temperatures above 14 degrees Celsius.

A small bit of happiness

When the first fruits appear, which you will undoubtedly be delighted with, the process of growing tomatoes will become somewhat more complicated - now you will have to try do not forget to systematically feed them every few days (I use fertilizers 2 times a week, not more often, so as not to harm the constant top dressing).

And don't forget about watering when the first tomatoes appear. I water relatively rarely, but at once in large volumes, as practice shows, this approach to watering is most effective.

I think cherry tomatoes can be compared to a small pet.

It is difficult to care for them, but the appearance of small fruits on your windowsill or on the balcony is always something cute, unusual and pleasant, because you see that all the work was not in vain.

I was very happy when I saw them for the first time, and now I try to grow tomatoes not only at home, but also in the country.
