How I chose an electric kettle and why China
When the old kettle just started to overheat the water sometimes, I did not attach any importance to this, but when the thermostat "Grunted" finally, the plastic lid melted with hot steam, which caused the whole kettle to smell like burnt plastic. Drinking from it, accordingly, was impossible. It's time to choose a new one.
There were several parameters that were fundamental to me:
· Volume is not less than 1.5 liters;
· Made of stainless steel, not plastic;
· Price not more than 2000 rubles;
· Availability in the store here and now.
Looking at the prices for Yandex. Market, I realized that within 2000 rubles. it is quite possible to buy a good kettle. I wanted a metal case, because there are rumors that plastic, when heated, releases harmful substances into water, and then we drink it. Because The kettle was needed now, then there was no point in thinking about any orders and delivery, I had to go to a retail store. Citylink was nearby, so the choice fell on him.
In the store, prices for metal teapots were very strange: the cheapest from 600 to 1200 rubles, and the next price category started from 2100 rubles. I didn't see any reason to pay for a device with only one single function, more than 2000 rubles, so I chose from those that cost around 2000. The cheapest were with Russian names. It was just such a company "Wonderful" that I broke down, so I decided to choose with a better known name and a little more expensive.
For my parameters, 2 models were available that were available - VITEK VT-7040 ST, 2200W and STARWIND SKS4210, 2200W. I had not heard anything about the last company, so the choice fell on Vitka. Then a sales assistant came up and said that the STARWIND model is very popular in this price category, there are no complaints about it, but sometimes there is a marriage among VITEK teapots.
He also assured me that despite its Chinese origin, the "stellar wind" is a good reliable teapot. despite its price, it has a viewing window with graduations showing the volume of water and a blue backlight inside. Of course, I liked it more, and considering the price of 950 rubles, the risk of buying it was quite justified.
I have been using the STARWIND SKS4210 electric kettle for about 4 months. There are no complaints, it copes with its function, and everyone who comes to visit really likes a little unusual design. It is also a little unusual that, despite the metal body, the kettle's weight is extremely small, as if it were not made of metal at all.
Although there are also disadvantages. The kettle does not sit tightly on its stand, so it wobbles a little on the central rod. Nevertheless, for reasons unknown to science, he does not jump when boiling, but stands in the position in which he was left.
In general, I am very pleased with the kettle. Considering that the estimated service life of any household appliances now does not exceed 2 years, and the standard warranty for everything is 1 year, a kettle for 950 rubles per year is an excellent solution. And if he works even more, it will be perfect.
